Distance Running Group – Outdoor Training Cycle #1 2019 (finally!)

Distance group – I’m working on the new training cycle. We have a few different groups currently as we’re at different stages of training.  Eventually, a few weeks from now, we will all be back together. Until then, if you’re not sure what to do, ask me (Coach Green)! The training cycle is HERE.  Thanks to Pam Fingerhut for the photo below: the Meet of Champions silver-medal-winning 4×800 relay, currently #3 in PA. Go Fords.

Fords on the PTFCA Site – Meet of Champions 2019

Congratulations to all the Fords indoor track athletes. It’s been an awesome season with many highlights. The boys and girls competed this past weekend in the Meet of Champions. Below are a few photos from the PTFCA site. Girls MOC results can be found HERE. Boys results are HERE.  Next weekend the Fords travel to Penn State to compete in the PTFCA State Championships.

CJ Weh competes in the semifinal of the 60 meter dash.

Olivia Boyce, state qualifier in the high jump, placed second at Meet of Champs.

Brendan Campbell, state qualifier in 3 events (800 meters, 4×800 relay, and DMR), finished strong on the anchor of the 4×800, securing the silver medal for the Fords.

Good luck to the boys and girls Winter Track teams competing this weekend!

The girls will compete at Haverford College on Jan. 4 — Friday evening — and the boys will compete at Lehigh University on Jan. 5 — Saturday afternoon. Come out and support the Fords!! (above: the Fords’ 4×200 relay medalists from last weekend. Photo credit: Jack Roth)
