Fords Wrap Up 2019 Spring Track School Season

Saturday was the end to a successful season for the boys’ and girls’ track teams.  Aiden Tomov brought back a medal to Havertown with his 7th place finish in the 1600m run.  Olivia Boyce had a strong showing against the state’s best and finished 9th in the high jump.  Chasen Wint also performed well finishing 11th in the discus.  The boys’ banquet will be this Thursday, May 30th.  Congratulations to all those who put in hard work during the 2019 season.  Aside from achieving strong performances, the dedication put into practices has taught us all the values of commitment, teamwork, pain tolerance, and consistency.  These values are all applicable outside of track and they will help us find success in a wide variety of ventures.

Both the boys and girls teams picked up wins on a sunny Wednesday afternoon.  The boys traveled to Ridley where they beat both Lower Merion and Ridley.  The girls recorded a win at home against Lower Merion.  Both teams saw strong performances across the board including a District One qualifying time (43.80) by the boys 4X100m (pictured above).  Pictures from the boys meet can be found under the Photos tab.
