Ashlyn Llerandi is the Haverford High School pole vault coach.

Originally from northern New Jersey, Coach Llerandi ran cross country, swam, and was a middle-distance runner, intermediate hurdler, and pole vaulter at Ridgewood High School. At Villanova University (’11) she was happy to focus solely on the pole vault, and was named team captain during her junior and senior years. She ultimately broke the school record four times, setting a final personal record of 13’6″ (4.11 meters) at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. She won the same meet in 2011 and was a top-3 Big East Conference finisher (’09, ’11) and qualifier for NCAA Division I East Regionals (’10, ’11).

While at Villanova, Llerandi double-majored in Psychology and Education with a Spanish minor. In the years following graduation, she taught English in Spain, coached the pole vault at Eastern University, and most recently was a Spanish teacher and head coach for the track and swim teams at Archbishop Carroll High School. Since 2008, she has coached at the Kutztown SkyJumpers PV Camp with pole vault expert Jan Johnson every summer, and in 2013 obtained her USATF Level 1 certification.

Coach Llerandi is thrilled to join the Haverford High School Track & Field coaching staff and is ready to use her knowledge of the pole vault to make a significant contribution to the Fords program.
