Coach Jim Jensen is the head coach of girls track and field at Haverford.

Coach Jensen, a 1986 graduate from Haverford, is entering his 20th season as a coach. He’s spent the last 19 years as head coach. While a student at Haverford he was a standout track athlete and is co-holder of the school’s sprint medley relay record.

Coach Jensen’s primary responsibility is coaching the sprinters and hurdlers. In the past he has coached all the events at one point or another, affording him an extensive, detail-rich knowledge of the sport. He was also the girl’s cross country coach from 1998 to 2001.

He started his coaching career at Notre Dame Academy for two years and two more years at Conestoga High school. He is currently in his 30th year of employment by the school district as the Lead Groundskeeper in the Facilities Department.
