Athletes should fill out the following forms over the summer and submit them on the first day of preseason: PIAA Physical (must be filled out by a doctor), assumption of risk, eligibility form, impact permission form (9th graders and 11th graders), student contract. Coach Wells requests that members of the girls’ team sign the student contract. Most important among these is the physical. All runners should make plans to have that filled out by a doctor before the season starts. Athletes can follow this checklist as well: Checklist for Forms
Summer training starts Monday, June 3rd. We will meet directly after school at the benches outside of the high school band room and along the high school parking lot. After school finishes, summer captains’ practices start at 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. We will meet at the same benches. While one of the benefits of running is that it can be done in any location and alone, we encourage new runners to show up to captains’ practices, especially those before school ends. This way they can learn the routes and meet the members of the team. Here is an introduction from Coach Williams to new members of the boys’ team: Introduction to the Boys Cross Country
